Back in December, I wrote a piece on Ebates.com about why it should be an essential part of any online shopping that you do. Earlier this week, I logged into Ebates.com and noticed that eBags.com is temporarily offering 18% cash back (normal 6%) on purchases through Ebates as part of their triple cashback week! This is a great chance to pick up some new luggage, a backpack, or many other travel related items. The 18% Ebates cashback is deposited right into your Paypal account (or paid by check if you choose this option). There are no exclusions. If you’re not using Ebates and shopping online, you’re leaving a lot of cash on the table.

Further, there are several coupons that you can activate through Ebates.com and stack on top of the 18% cash back offer. Use promo code 18YEARS at checkout to get 25% more (some exclusions apply). For the full list of eBags coupons available with the 18%, follow this link.

Thrifty Tip #1: New to Ebates? Sign up using this link and start earning cash back! Both Mr. TT and I use this for almost every online purchase.

Thrifty Tip #2: Download and install the Ebates cash back button here. This will provide a notification on your web browser when shopping on a site that has a cash back incentive with Ebates. This is available for both Chrome and Safari, and makes it hard to miss a cash back opportunity.

Just wait, there are more offers to stack! If you have an American Express credit card you should check out your Amex Offers section at the bottom of your online account. They are currently offering $15 off $75 (20% more)! Add that offer to your Amex card and pay with it to save even more!

I was able to take advantage of this offer by picking up the eBags Professional Slim Laptop Backpack. It has over 3,000 reviews and came highly recommended from Mr. TT. After the Ebates 18% cash back offer and stacking the $15 Amex offer it was only $66.17 with free shipping (The base price of the bag was $98.99).

Bottom Line

If you are not familiar with eBags.com, they are a large retailer of luggage, clothing and travel related accessories. I have purchased my last two carry-on bags through the site and I think they do a great job, and they make it easy to take advantage of deals through services like Ebates. It appears this increased offer of 18% at eBags is valid through Sunday, March 5th as part of their trip cashback week, so I would jump on this sooner than later. You can get over 50% off if you stack the ebates, 18YEARS promo code, and Amex offer!
